Amber Tamblyn is an author, actress, and director who has been nominated for an Emmy, Golden Globe, and Independent Spirit Award for her work in television and film.
Her television credits includesupporting roles on House, General Hospital, Two and a Half Men, and The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret as well as a starring role on Joan of Arcadia.Currently, Tamblyn can be seen in the FX sci-fi drama comic-book based series Y: The Last Man.
On the big screen, Tamblyn starred in The Sisterhood of The Travelling Pants, The Ring, 127 Hoursand earned a nomination for Best Supporting Female at the 2006 Independent Spirit Awards for her performance in Stephanie Daley. Tamblyn also wrote, directed, and produced the feature film adaptation of Janet Fitch’s novel Paint it Black.
Her books include her memoir, Era of Ignition and three books of poetry including Dark Sparkler and her debut novel Any Man.
An avid proponent of gender equality, she is a founder of Time’s Up.
